Founded in 1991, Epaflex Polyurethanes is today a key reference in the polyurethane industry, thanks to its continuous evolution and concrete commitment to innovation and sustainability. Over the years, the company has expanded its product and service portfolio, always placing the customer at the center and investing in people, quality, and respect for the environment. Our growth path is guided by strong values and a forward-looking vision, as highlighted by the words of our CEO, Davide Brambillasca.

1991

Epaflex began its activity as a company specialized in supplying polyurethane systems to footwear manufacturers. Located strategically close to Vigevano, at that time the heartland of footwear PU industry in Italy, it has always had a strong inclination to stay very close to its customers, wherever in the world they may be.

1998

The first thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) granules were produced on a reactive extrusion line that was designed and assembled in-house. Epaflex supplied TPU to synthetic leather manufacturers and quickly began to diversify its offering, adding products for injection molding and solvent-based adhesives.

2008

Elachem S.p.A., founded in Vigevano in 2001 and specialized in the production of polyurethane systems, acquired Epaflex. This acquisition brought new energy and a renewed strategic direction to a solid, growth-oriented organization.

2009

With the addition of its first products for CASE applications (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers), the company’s evolution took another major step forward. Epaflex began to enter the construction market and to benefit from the growing demand for polyurethane in this key segment.

2015

As the market evolved and Epaflex’s ambitions grew, a complete renewal of the reactive extrusion plants for TPU production became necessary. This marked the beginning of the path toward full automation of the production facility, with the goal of supplying state-of-the-art products to increasingly demanding customers.

2023

Epaflex Americas was founded to supply the United States and Canada with TPU for applications in the automotive, general industrial, electronics, consumer goods, and heavy engineering sectors.
